McLaren finally unveils its own new super car after the McLaren F1 in the late 1990's. This time, they call it MP4-12C. McLaren says the new car follows the company philosophy of keeping everything simple and focus on weights reduction. It was made by MonoCell, a one piece molded carbon fiber chasis sturctue. Since weight saving is such a piority tothe new MP4-12C, McLaren did that on every possible ways such as positing the driver and passenger closey, light weight exhaust, forged aluminum brakes hub... Thy even mount the radiator at the back of the car so it will be closer to the enginge bay and save weight on extra pipes and fluids.
The MP4-12C will be powered by a 3.8L twin turbo V8 enigne which produce around 600hp and should be less than 3000 pounds. Price tag, around $230, 000.
